Changes to Front Counter Provision – Thames Valley Police

A number of changes were being considered in relation to the future of Thames Valley Police’s front counter provision across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. Following a public consultation carried out in January, the responses were carefully considered. To adapt to the different ways in which people contact the police and to meet the changing needs of the diverse communities we serve, a number of changes will be implemented to our front counter services from 30 August 2021.

These changes do not affect police officer numbers nor the number of police bases we have, so you will not experience any difference in terms of officer visibility in the community. We have an updated webpage to outline the changes and to explain how you can contact us.
