Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Winkfield Parish Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Non accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
Some images on the website pages may not have a text alternative, so the information on them is not available to people using a screen reader. We plan to add text alternatives for images. When we publish new content, we endeavour to ensure our use of images meets accessibility standards.
Compliance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Council website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard (detailed below).
Disproportionate burden
At the present time, we have not identified any specific issues that would be of disproportionate burden.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
Any new PDFs we publish will meet accessibility standards.
